※Product Construction Process

1. Inspection of the substrate surface to be coated

Before construction, the surface of the steel components must be thoroughly rust-removed according to the standard anti-rust paint. The coating surface should be clean, free of oil, dust, and dew, ensuring that the substrate is clean and dry.

2. Opening the bag

Check whether the name and model of the coating match the design specification. Check whether the product exceeds the storage period. If it is expired, it can still be used after passing the test. If there is agglomeration, all the agglomerates should be removed and not mixed with the coating to avoid affecting the product quality.

3. Construction method

Spraying or troweling can be used.

4. Construction environment

The temperature of the construction site environment should be between 5-38℃, and spraying is not suitable when the wind exceeds level 5.

5. Fire resistance limit and coating thickness

6. Nail hanging net

When the coating thickness requirement is above 10mm, reinforce the galvanized iron wire mesh on the surface of the substrate, and fix the iron wire mesh with stable nails.

1. To better bond the insulation nails with the substrate, it is recommended to use a special interface agent to mix the bonding agent with cement at a ratio of 1:1.

2. The bonding distance of the insulation nails is preferably between 20 and 30cm. It is recommended that the galvanized iron mesh has a mesh size of 25*25mm and a wire diameter of 0.4mm, and the insulation nail has a size of 20*30mm.

7. Interface treatment of the bottom layer

To better bond the fire-resistant coating with the primer for steel structure anticorrosion, interface treatment must be performed. The interface layer coating should be prepared according to the weight ratio of special interface agent: powder: water = 4:10:10, and must be thoroughly stirred evenly before use. It is advisable to use spraying method for bottom interface treatment, with an air pressure of 0.4-0.6MPa, a nozzle diameter of 6-8mm, and a coating thickness of 3-5mm. After the interface layer coating is completely dry, the coating can be applied in layers.

8. Layered construction

The layered coating should be prepared according to the weight ratio of special interface agent: powder: water = 5:100:100, and must be thoroughly stirred evenly before use. The layered coating can be applied by spraying or troweling. If spraying is used, it should be operated under the condition of air pressure of 0.4-0.6MPa, and the nozzle diameter should be 6-8mm. The thickness of each coating should be controlled between 10-15mm. After the previous coating is dry, the next coating can be carried out, with an interval of ≥24h until the specified thickness is reached. The appearance of the coating is rough, which is convenient for the bonding between the coatings. If smoothing is needed, it should be carried out after the last spraying.

9. Surface decoration

When there are surface decoration requirements, other outdoor coatings can be sprayed (brushed) after the fire-resistant coating is completely dry (when the decoration requirements are high, the fire-resistant coating surface can be scraped and smoothed first).

10. Precautions

1. Under extremely dry and hot conditions, water should be sprinkled for maintenance to prevent rapid dehydration.

2. Wet material must be used up within 2 hours and prepared as needed.

3. Avoid rain before the coating is dry.

4. Immediately clean the tools after construction to prevent the coating from hardening.

5. Pay attention to sealing the fire-resistant coating to prevent moisture or rainwater from entering. The material will be ineffective once it gets damp.
