productConstruction technology

1. Check the surface to be coated

Before construction, the surface of the steel structure must be thoroughly derusted and painted with anti-rust paint according to the standard. The coating surface must be clean and free of oil, dust and dew, ensuring that the substrate surface is clean and dry.

2. Open the bag

Check whether the name and model of the coating are consistent with the design specifications. Check whether the product has exceeded the storage period. If it has exceeded the period, it can still be used after passing the inspection. If there is agglomeration, all the agglomerates should be removed and should not be mixed into the coating to avoid affecting the product quality.

3. Construction method

Spraying method can be used.

4. Construction Environment

The ambient temperature at the construction site should be between 5-38℃. Spraying is not recommended when the wind speed exceeds level 5.

6. Interface treatment of single-component gypsum base layer

In order to better combine the fireproof coating with the primer for steel structure anticorrosion, interface treatment must be done. The interface coating should be prepared according to the weight ratio of special interface agent: powder: water = 4:10:10, and must be fully stirred before use. The bottom interface treatment should be constructed by spraying method, which should be operated under the condition of air pressure of 0.4-0.6MPa, the nozzle diameter of the spray gun should be 6-8mm, and the coating thickness should be 3-5mm. The laminated coating can be applied only after the interface coating is completely dry.

7. Layered construction

Single-component gypsum-based laminated construction: Laminated coatings are prepared in a weight ratio of powder to water = 1:1. They must be fully stirred before use, and the prepared coating must be used up within 2 hours. Laminated coatings are sprayed. Spraying should be carried out under an air pressure of 0.4-0.6MPa, and the nozzle diameter of the spray gun should be 6-8 mm. The thickness of each coat should be controlled between 10-15 mm. The next coat can be applied only after the previous coat is dry. The interval between each coat is ≥24h until the specified thickness is reached. The coating has a rough appearance, which is convenient for bonding between coatings. If smoothing is required, it should be done after the last coat is sprayed.

Two-component gypsum-based laminate construction:

1. Preparation of accelerator: Add water and accelerator in a ratio of 4:6 into the barrel of the metering pump and stir until there is no precipitation and the solution is transparent and light yellow. During the spraying process, the accelerator solution must be stirred continuously to prevent precipitation.

2. Coating preparation: Mix water and gypsum-based coating in a ratio of 1:1. Depending on the construction equipment and weather conditions, water can be added or reduced as appropriate to make it uniform and viscous before use. The prepared coating must be used up within 2 hours.

The construction method is spraying:

1 First, turn on the metering pump to make the prepared quick-setting agent fill the entire delivery pipe, and there are a small amount of bubbles in the delivery pipe, and adjust the flow rate of the metering pump.

2. Pour the prepared gypsum-based paint into the screw machine, set the start state of the screw machine to automatic and the speed to a suitable level before spraying.

3. Open the metering pump and observe whether there is accelerator flowing out from the gun head. If correct, open the air valve and the screw machine will automatically feed the material for spraying.

When there are surface decoration requirements, other outdoor paints can only be sprayed (brushed) after the fire retardant coating is completely dry (when the decoration requirements are higher, the surface of the fire retardant coating can be scraped with putty for leveling first).

9. Cautionmatter
