1. Test probe and test diagram
Stylus (thickness gauge),It consists of a needle bar and a slidable disc. The disc is always kept perpendicular to the needle bar and is equipped with a fixing device. The diameter of the disc is not greater than 30mm to ensure full contact with the surface of the tested piece. If the thickness gauge is not easy to insert into the material, other appropriate methods can also be used for testing.
During the test,The thickness probe is inserted vertically into the fire retardant coating until it reaches the surface of the steel substrate, and the scale reading is recorded.

2. Selection of measuring points
To measure the thickness of fire retardant coating on floor slabs and fire walls, the area at the intersection of two adjacent longitudinal and transverse axes can be selected as a unit, and one point per meter in length can be selected on its diagonal line for testing.
The thickness of the fire retardant coating on the beams and columns of the all-steel frame structure is measured by taking a cross section every 3m within the length of the component and testing at the position shown in Figure 4.2.

For truss structures, the top and bottom chords shall be tested at a cross-section every 3m as specified in Article 2, and each of the other web members shall be tested at a cross-section.
3. Measurement results
For floors and walls, measure at least 5 points in the selected area; for beams and columns, measure 6 and 8 points in the selected locations respectively. Calculate their average values ??to the nearest 0.5 mm.
